The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, established in 2008. The department is affiliated by JNTUA. The present intake for Electrical and Electronics Engineering is sixty.

Developing simple, appropriate technologies, which will be instrumental in the upliftment of rural society.

IThe department has a steady complement of staff and now has a staff to student ratio of 1:15

This department has a complement of highly qualified, dynamic and dedicated faculty. Majority of the faculty have rich experience in academics and industry. A sizable number of faculty members are engaged in research activities in frontiers of technology. With the advent of Autonomous status, the course pattern has been significantly revised to render it more comprehensive and in keeping with modern trends of EEE education. In keeping with modern practice, the students are required to undergo quizzes, online tests in addition to periodic tests and assignments.

The selection of course material and topics is a reflection of the changing trend in the study of classical power engineering subjects, all over the world; that is it is a reflection of the ever increasing permeation of electronics and computers in the practical electrical engineering field. The course is a healthy amalgam of power engineering, electronics and computers. As the title of the course indicates, the course coverage is comprehensive, covering power engineering, electronics and instrumentation and software.

The department hosts a number of educational software. Software for transients and electromagnetic fields are being planned. The equipments are maintained meticulously. Plans are being drawn up for a comprehensive development of experimental facilities by the addition of several equipments that would cater not only to special experiments but also for undertaking both UG and PG projects in-house.
